Dos Locos Consultores is a research-oriented company designed to facilitate archaeological inquiry, video filmmaking, photography, and journalistic and fiction writing. As co-owners of Dos Locos, the principals conduct archaeological research. Harlan is currently working on video production, typological studies, and historical criticism. Seymour focuses on research especially related to the Apache, Sobaipuri-O'odham, and Protohistoric periods, historical and fiction writing, and photography. Current projects include: --Excavation of late prehistoric Upper Pima, Sobaípuri, and Apache, and non-Apache mobile groups (Jocome and Jípuri) sites in the Santa Cruz and San Pedro river valleys. --Location of Apache and mobile group sites (Manso, Suma, Jano, Jocome, Jípuri, and Jumano) in southern Arizona, southern New Mexico, and west Texas. --Investigation of Coronado's route in light of new findings regarding groups present at historic contact and recent findings of Coronado campsites in southern Arizona. --Reconnaissance-level investigations at the Salinas-area pueblos aimed at defining and documenting the ancestral Apache and Jumano presence,. -- Reconnaissance-level investigations at Pecos Pueblo focused on defining and documenting the ancestral Apache and Jumano presence. -- Reconnaissance-level investigations at the Galisteo Basin pueblos focused on defining and documenting the ancestral Apache and Jumano presence. |
